Minister of Students

Role Overview:

Redemption Church is seeking a spiritually healthy and joy-filled Minister of Students  to lead and guide our students in an exciting season in the life of our church. We are looking for someone who wants to build our ministry to students, lock arms with our team, and shape the future of our church.

This person must be passionate about helping students wake up to deep, meaningful life in Christ. We want students to meet Jesus and grow as authentic disciples. We want someone who will creatively engage our students’ questions with both compassion and conviction to point them to the gospel and the truth of God’s Word. Do you have a vision to build up and send out young men and women into the world on mission with Jesus?

The ideal candidate would possess a genuine love for students, growing leadership skills, ability to apply God’s Word with wisdom and insight, and the willingness to work alongside our staff team to carry out our church’s mission. As a leader, he or she will direct student programming, events, groups, and the volunteer team who make our student ministry happen. The Student Minister will navigate a balance in our desire to create excellent programming alongside a heart of grace and love for growing disciples.

Our Student Minister should have a deep commitment to walking with God daily, commitment to healthy relationships, walking in authentic community, and a desire to be a joyful, fully-engaged member of our church and staff. If married, this person’s spouse should be excited about our vision and mission, and comfortable living as a devoted member of our church family.

Who Is Redemption Church?

Redemption Church is a growing and inviting community establishing itself as a thriving church amidst the ongoing development in Downtown Edmond. Our vision is to help everyday people wake up to deep, meaningful life in Christ.

Our worship gatherings seek to engage both head and heart, minds and emotions – sharing a sense of joy because the gospel is good news. We seek to boldly proclaim God’s word and the gospel in clear and compelling ways that resonate with a diverse group of people. We realize that discipleship happens in all of life, and we are intentional about connecting people in authentic community, challenging people to deeper theology and formation, investing our lives to make a difference in our community and world.

With our move into our home in downtown Edmond, we’ve seen new people joining our church, classrooms bustling with kids, and new ministries launching. In our day, people are weary and skeptical about commitment to institutions, especially religious institutions. But we are finding that our location and our space is opening doors for us to offer the joy of Christ in the heart of our city.
