“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.” (1 Cor. 15:58)

Along with the whole world, our diverse, global family is walking through unprecedented times. The advance of COVID-19 directly impacts our church-planting family. We don’t know what the coming days may bring, but we do know that our God reigns.

In a time when the world around us is facing the real fear of death, we have hope to share. Jesus has defeated death. “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (v. 56–57).

Christ will build his church. The gates of hell will not prevail against it, and neither will a virus. We encourage you to hold fast to your hope in Christ, to submit to your government’s recommendations at this time, and to speak boldly—in any context available—of that solid hope.
