Ingra was struggling with depression, anxiety, and constant self-medication to numb suicidal thoughts when Jesus captured her heart. On the day she planned to commit suicide, she instead called her mom who invited Ingra to come over. While at her mom’s house, she turned on a show called The Chosen, and the Spirit began to do work on her heart.
Ingra didn’t own a Bible; didn’t attend church – all she knew was to pray. She then began praying for God to help her find a church to grow in her newfound faith, and she found Acts 29 church Igreja do Redentor in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Through her local church, she is now learning what being a disciple of Jesus looks like and sharing that faith with others.
“Ever since I learned about Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross, I have felt his love and his peace in my heart. My life, after I found Igreja do Redentor, has been completely different as I have never been to church every Sunday before, and now this is a part of my routine. It’s sacred.”
